Representatives of RCC CAs and ITU Area Office in Moscow for the CIS countries took part in the meeting.

The meeting was dedicated to discussing the outcomes of the ITU World Telecommunication Policy Forum (WTPF-2009, 22-24 April 2009, Lisbon, Portugal), preparations for the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference (4-22 October 2010, Guadalajara, Mexico) and preparations of the Communications Administrations RCC for the regular Session of the ITU Council (20-30 October 2009, Geneva).

Participants considered the proposals for support of the RCC CAs elected representatives’ activities and for preparation of reserve for nomination to elective positions in the ITU and UPU working bodies, as well as improvement of the RCC structure with a view to improving efficiency of the RCC working bodies’ activities and costs optimization.

In the afternoon, for the first time within RCC a joint meeting of 3 working bodies - the RCC Commission for International Cooperation Coordination, RCC EMC Commissions and
RCC Broadcasting Commission took place.

Participants discussed questions related to main aspects of joint preparations and upholding mutual interests of the RCC participants at WTDC-10, the Radiocommunication Assembly and World Radiocommunication Conference 2011.

For the successful conducting of the forthcoming Connect CIS Summit in Minsk, Commissions considered it expedient to draw in the RCC CAs specialists as moderators and speakers having high qualification as regards the subjects which will be discussed at the meetings.
