22nd meeting of the RCC Commission for International Cooperation Coordination was held on 11-12 March 2010 in Tashkent (Republic of Uzbekistan) which examined the issues of preparations for the ITU World Telecommunication Development Conference 2010 (WTDC-10, May 24 -4 June 2010, Hyderabad, India), the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference 2010 (4-22 October 2010, Guadalajara, Mexico), the Radiocommunication Assembly and World Radiocommunication Conference 2012, World Conference on International Telecommunications 2012 (WCIT-12), Session of the ITU Council 2010 (April 2010, Geneva).
Information on the outcomes of the ITU Advisory Groups: Telecommunication Development (TDAG), Radiocommunication (RAG), Telecommunication Standardization (TSAG) was heard.
The meeting of the Working Group on the work with ITU established under the RCC Commission for International Cooperation Coordination which discussed the outcomes of the Regional Preparatory Meeting for the CIS countries for the ITU World Telecommunication Development Conference 2010 and agreed drafts of RCC Common Proposals for WTDC-10 and PP-10 which were then considered by the Commission was held on 10-11 March the day before the meeting of the RCC Commission for International Cooperation Coordination.
WG also agreed nominations of coordinators for submission of the RCC Common Proposals for WTDC-10.
The RCC Commission for International Cooperation Coordination having discussed the represented documents, decided to entrust the RCC Executive Committee to send 13 RCC Common Proposals for WTDC-10 including four regional initiatives, draft new resolutions, draft new or revised Questions of SG of ITU-D, Proposals for the ITU-D work and RCC Common Proposal for PP-10 to ITU.
The proposals on the candidatures for the leading positions of the WTDC-10 and the ITU-D working bodies, as well as proposals on candidatures for the leading positions of PP-10, in the Radio Regulations Board and the ITU Council have been prepared.
Agreed wordings of the RCC Common Proposals for WTDC-10 were signed by those RCC CAs plenipotentiary representatives who were present at the meeting.
After the meeting, participants visited the Museum of Communications History created by the efforts of CA of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and with great interest explored its exhibits reflecting development of communications from the remote times to the present.
The next meeting of the RCC Commission for International Cooperation Coordination is planned to be held in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan.
