RWG meeting was held in conjunction with an expert group meeting to finalize and agree to a draft Agreement on Cooperation among CIS Countries in the creation of compatible national telemedicine systems and their further development and use (the Agreement).
The Working Group was attended by representatives of the RCC CAs, health authorities, experts in the field of telemedicine of the Azerbaijan Republic, the Republic of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Ukraine, as well as representatives of the CIS Executive Committee and RCC Executive Committee.
The joint meeting reviewed the draft Agreement article by article and discussed the comments and proposals made by the CIS countries.
The participants of the meeting were provided with information on the development of a model law “On telemedicine" included at the suggestion of the RCC in the perspective plan of model legislation and harmonization of national legislation in the CIS in 2005-2010.
During the meeting topical issues related to the implementation of the CIS countries activities envisaged in the Memorandum of Cooperation among the CIS member states in establishing compatible national teleconsultation and diagnostic systems signed by heads of governments of CIS were also discussed.
