23-24 June 2010 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan the first meeting of the Working Group of technical experts on evaluating the use of radio frequency resource networks simultaneous audio broadcast of the RCC in the range of MW / LW was held.

 

    The meeting of the Working Group of technical experts on evaluating the use of radio frequency resource networks simultaneous audio broadcast of the RCC in the range of MW / LW (WG MW / LW), attended by delegations from nine administrations regard the RCC and the RCC Board.

   The Chairman of the Working Group, Head of the broadcasting service of the Ukrainian State Centre of Radio Frequencies, Alexander A. Bondarenko led the meeting.

   Vice-Chairman of the State Commission for Radio Frequencies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Deputy Chairman of the RCC Commission on Regulation of Frequency Spectrum Use and EMC of Radioelectronic Facilities Almira R. Gataulina address to the meeting participants with the speech of welcome on behalf of the host country.

   The participants discussed about the current use of frequencies 171, 549, 873 kHz by the synchronous networks in the RCC countries.

   During the discussion of the information, members of the Working Group agreed on the need to phase the works, namely: to consider and carry out the calculations for the planned frequency assignments in the Geneva-75 Plan for independent use, for planning of radio frequencies with characteristics different from the Geneva-75 Plan for independent use and transmission of means, additional data used in the bands.

  Members of the WG MW / LW discussed the possibility of existing software for the calculation. They also discussed possible options for the use of frequency assignments 171, 549, 873 kHz of the RCC participants in the Geneva-75 Plan.

  From the results of discussion the Working Group prepared a draft Working Plan for WG MW / LW.

It was suggested to hold the following meeting of the WG MW / LW on 20 - 22 July 2010 in Kiev, Ukraine.
