May 15, 2018, in Moscow, Russian Federation, in the Regional postal training center, the opening of the Workshop on the strategic Regional project UPU "Operational readiness for e-Commerce for Europe and the CIS on transport, security and detailed mapping of processes in the 2nd stage designated operators of countries of Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia” was held.

At the opening of the Workshop with a welcome speech speaked: Director ATTI MTUCI Mr. Vladimir Voskobovich; Regional expert and regional project coordinator of the UPU for Europe and the CIS Mr. Yury. T. Spiriev; consultant of the office of communication networks and Federal programs of Rossvyaz Mr. Alexander N. Sarychev.

On behalf of the Director General of the RCC Executive Committee Mr. Nurudin N. Mukhitdinov welcome was read by acting head of the communications Sector of the RCC Executive Committee Mr. Alexander A. Tushov.

The seminar was attended by representatives of the postal operators: "Azerpost", "Belpochta", JSC "Kazpost", GP "the Kyrgyz Pochtasy", FSUE "Russian Post", JSC "Uzbekiston Pochtasi", as well as representatives of the Universal Postal Union and of the RCC Executive Committee.

 In accordance with the UPU regional development plan for Europe and Central Asia countries for 2017-2020 the UPU International Bureau began the implementation of the Regional strategic project "Operational readiness for electronic Commerce" (ORE), whose main task is to help participating designated operators of countries of Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia to modernize production processes and to use all available standardized instruments and control systems "from the sender to the recipient" for the implementation of operational solutions that meet the requirements of e-Commerce.

According to the Work plan for the project ORE the UPU International Bureau organized a workshop whose purpose was to review the implementation of the countries` Action plan on the ORE draft.
