On 11 June, 2010 in Moscow the 11th meeting of the Information Security Commission under the Coordination Council of the CIS member states for Informatization attached to RCC took place.


         The meeting was attended by representatives of the RCC Communications Administrations, relevant government bodies dealing with information security from the Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Republic of Moldova, Russian Federation, Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan. Representatives of the Parent organization for the scientific support of information security issues (the Parent organization), public Advisory Board attached to the Commission and the CIS Executive Committee also attended the meeting.

         Participants of the Commission meeting familiarized themselves with the actions on implementation of the Comprehensive Plan for realization of the Concept of the CIS member states cooperation in the field of information security for the period from 2008 to 2010 carried out in the Coordination Council member states.

          According to the item on the agenda about establishment within the CIS of the Centre for security in cyberspace, it was decided to entrust the parent organization, together with the public Advisory Board to prepare a concept of the establishment and operation of the Centre. The document will be submitted to the next meeting of the Coordination Council (28 September 2010, Chisinau, Moldova).

          During the meeting participants also considered the possibility of internationalization of the Internet governance and measures to promote this position at the international forums.

          A discussion on the application of technologies for protected relevant in law cross-border data exchange at the level of national e-governments of the RCC member states was continued, as well as technical means of its realization were considered.

          In conclusion Commission considered a number of organizational issues relating to preparation for the next Coordination Council meeting and the adoption of new members to the public Advisory Board.

          Meeting of the Commission was preceded by a 6th Eurasian Forum "International problems of information exchange and information security" and the first International IT conference and exhibition "Safe City".
