On 12 – 15 March 2013 in Moscow (Russian Federation) the international workshop for specialists responsible for the providing the EMS service was held.

The workshop was organized by the EMS Department of the UPU International Bureau ощштедн with the Communications Administration of the Russian Federtaion.

More than 15 countries of Europe and the CIS including Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Russian Federation, Uzbekistan took part at the workshop. The total number of participants was more than 40 persons.

During the workshop the information on the business-plan of EMS cooperative for 2013-2016 was discussed, the issues of monitoring for the express-postal items and reports preparation, service provision quality monitoring, approvement of the delivery dates and exchange of electronic messages on the postal items process of sending were considered.

During the workshop the issues on the introduction of the security standards of acceptance, processing, transportation and delivery of exzpress-postal items and interaction with the custom on the control of  customs declarations composition and passing customs inspection of the express-postal items, exchange of electronic dataon the passing items with the custom, possibility of introduction of electronic declaring of items enclosures were discussed.

The wide section of issues was dedicated to the EMS clients: what is EMS for the clients? The nomenclature of provided EMS services, advance of a EMS brand, marketing offers and options of advance of a product of EMS were considered.

The listeners discussed the issues of mutual settlements between the EMS services, introduction of the plan of payment depending on the work indicators, possibility of signing of multilateral agreement on the mutual settlements depenfing on the work indicators, and also outlined the plans for the future.

The workshop was highly appreciated by listeners.
