On 19 - 20 July 2011 in Saint Petersburg (Russian Federation) the 13th meeting of the Coordination Group for Digital Broadcasting (CGDB) was held.
The meeting was held on the General Satellite Corporation base.
The experts from the CAs of the Azerbaijan Republic, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Republic of Moldova, Russian Federation and Republic of Uzbekistan took part at the meeting.
Participants shared experience and plans for the introduction the digital terrestrial television broadcast of DVB-T / H standard, shared the tests results in the pilot areas of the broadcast, and the results of the coordination of frequency assignments between the RCC participants' countries and other countries.
The agenda of the meeting included also the issues of preparation of the additions to the "Recommendations for coordination of new and modification of planned frequency assignments/allocations for digital broadcast in the frequency bands 174-230 MHz and 470-862 MHz between the RCC CAs" regulatory co-ordination of digital broadcasting of REF with other services in the range of 174-230 MHz, and the results of additional researches to determine the protective relationship for cases of blocking the channels to be included in the Recommendation.
The meeting participants considered and approved the draft "Recommendations for the technical basics of the RCC CAs digital television broadcasting network planning".
The next meeting of the Coordination Group will be held in summer of 2012.
