On 23 January 2012 in Geneva (Switzerland) the ITU World Radiocommunication Conference 2012 has started its work.
World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC-12) authorized to consider and review the Radio Regulations – international agreement, regulated the use of radiofrequency spectrum and satellite orbits.
The Conference will last for 4 weeks (23 January – 17 February).
Delegations of nine Communications Administrations of the Regional Commonwealth in the field of Communications: Azerbaijan Republic, Republic of Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Republic of Moldova, Russian Federation, Republic of Uzbekistan and Ukraine as well as the RCC Executive Committee are taking part at the Conference work.
It is expected that more than 3000 representatives from more than 150 countries of the world will take part in the Conference work.
RCC representatives are taking part in leading composition of the Conference. So, one of the vice-Chairmen of the Conference was elected the Chairman of the Working group on preparation for WRC-12/RA-12, Adviser to the Minister of transport and communication of the Republic of Armenia Mr. Albert B. Nalbandian.
Vice-Chairmen positions are held by:
Committee 2 – Mr. G.N. Abdullaev (Azerbaijan);
Committee 5 – Mr. A.N. Fayzullaev (Uzbekistan);
Committee 6 – Ms. N.T. Bolzhobekova (Kyrgyz Republic);
Committee 7 – Mr. V.M. Minkin (Russia).
WRC-12 will examine the technical, regulatory and operational aspects to address the use of radiofrequency spectrum.
