More than 70 representatives of nine RCC Communications Administrations: Azerbaijan Republic, Republic of Armenia, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Republic of Moldova, Russian Federation, Republic of Tajikistan, Republic of Uzbekistan and Ukraine took part at the Forum. Besides the representatives of the Republic of Bulgaria, as the RCC observer, representatives and experts from International Telecommunication Union and RCC Executive Committee also took part at the RPM.
At the opening of the Meeting the First Deputy Director General of the Uzbek Agency for Communication and Informatization Mr. Asror A. Ishankhodzhaev made a speech of welcome.
The reports on the WTSA-12 preparations and expected results, status of WTSA Resolutions and Preparation of Global Standards Symposium, improvement of international-legal regulation of ITU-T Sector’s rules of procedures, RCC activities in the field of standardization in the participants’ countries and etc. were heard at the Meeting.
The RCC CAs contributions for WTSA-12 were discussed.
The Meeting endorsed 11 draft RCC Common Proposals on the WTSA-12 work, concerned to such issues as clarification of provisions concerning to intellectual property rights, establishment of the monitoring system of new technologies for communication networks and services, equal using of the Union languages in ITU-T, ITU-T contribution into decisions implementation of the World Summit on the Information Society and etc.
In conclusion the participants of the Meeting expressed gratitude to the Communications Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan, International Telecommunication Union and RCC Executive Committee for warm reception and organization of the work of the Meeting.
