The vice-Chairman of the RCC Telecommunication Operators Board, General Director of the SC “Uzbektelecom” – Makhsum M. Makhmudov and the vice-Chairman of the RCC Telecommunication Commission, Head of the Telecommunication Department of the Ministry of Communication and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus – Olga N. Fedoreeva carried out the meeting.
The speeches of welcome were made by the Deputy Minister of Communication of Turkmenistan, General Director of STC “Turkmentelekom” Annadovlet N. Mukhamedov and by the Director General of the Regional Commonwealth in the field of Communications Nurudin N. Mukhitdinov.
The delegations from the Republic of Azerbaijan, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Republic of Moldova, Russian Federation, Republic of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Republic of Uzbekistan and Ukraine took part at the meeting.
The main agenda items were: the improvement of the RCC Telecommunication Operators Board activity, the status of the TOB participants, approval of the new edition of the TOB Regulations, the outcomes of the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference 2010 (PP-10), admission of new members to the RCC Telecommunication Operators Board: Companies CJSC “NEC Neva Communications Systems” (Russian Federation), ZAO “A.Rustel” (Russian Federation) and “Iskratel Ltd.” (Republic of Slovenia).
The perspectives and forecasts of telecommunications development in Turkmenistan were presented to the participants of the meeting.
The meeting participants traditionally paid attention to the Working Group on information security and Working Group on new telecommunications services under the TOB activity, and the Working Group on communication networks management under the RCC Telecommunication Commission and outlined further work in this direction.
The proposals on the possibility of roaming tariffs in the CIS countries regulation were also heard.
