On April 4, 2012 in Astana was held the seminar "Innovations in the sphere of information security". Seminar was organized and conducted by the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kazakhstan with the participation of the RCC and the Russian Foundation for support of ICT
The seminar was attended by representatives of the competent bodies of government, scientists, experts in the sphere of information security of the seven CIS countries and a representative of the RCC Executive Committee.
The seminar is an important stage in the development of international cooperation in the field of information security and is included in the list of actions to implement the decisions of the Council of CIS Heads of State on December 20, 2011 on the definition of cooperation in the field of communication and information a key theme of interaction between the CIS member states in the economy in 2012 year (a list of activities approved by the CIS Economic Council March 20, 2012).
At the seminar were presented and discussed more than 20 reports. Also during the seminar were: Meeting of the RCC Informatization Commission and RCC Commission on Information Security.
During the seminar were discussed urgent issues of standardization information security and information security concept of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Caused great interest in the seminar, prepared by the AS of Russia, in conjunction with the RCC Commission on Information and Information Security, "a methodology for the formation and functioning of the web of cross-border area of trust." Includes directions for its implementation in an integrated information system of foreign trade.
Participants shared their experience in the provision of public services, secure Internet service activity responding to computer incidents, as well as training in this area.
Participants suppose that giving seminars on information security status of the annual event of the Regional Commonwealth in the field of communications in this area will have a positive impact on current issues of information security in the countries of the Commonwealth.
